Counselling Psychologist
Ranjit is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with an excess of 15 years’ experience, which has encompassed a charity-funded women’s centre, the Independent sector and the NHS, in addition to extensive experience in private practice. Within the NHS, Ranjit has previously held core roles in setting up both a Community Adult Eating Disorder Service, and a Mental Health and Well-Being service within the Occupational Health Department. Ranjit is also a guest lecturer on a London University’s Master’s Degree Course. Ranjit is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and British Psychological Society and is an Associate Fellow of The British Psychological Society.
Drawing on evidence-based practice and practice-based evidence, her work is characterised by an integrative, collaborative approach, with an underlying focus on relational experiences and attachment theory. Her specialisms include; EMDR, CBT, DBT, post-graduate diploma in Systemic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, MANTRA and Mindfulness. Ranjit works with a wide spectrum of clinical and complex psychological conditions such as the bi-polar spectrum, complex trauma, PTSD, addictions, weight management, pain management, mood disorders and anxiety disorders, as well as in the treatment of eating disorders complicated by symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder, Severe and enduring mental health difficulties and medically unexplained symptoms. she works with adults, adolescents and children presenting with complex difficulties.
Ranjit enjoys going to exhibitions, theatre, socialising and taking her own advice of trying to spend time at home having a duvet holiday on a Sunday once a month.
